NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR. Volcano Communications is a small local internet service provider dedicated to delivering high-speed, reliable, and secure internet connectivity to our customers. We are building a next-generation FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network and as a Network Administrator you would play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our network infrastructure. Minimum Requirements: Three years experience working as a network engineer / administrator, preferably in a service provider environment. Thorough understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, and other commonly used network protocols. Knowledge and experience working with carrier Ethernet and IP networks, switching, and routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS. Understanding of core network protocols including DNS and DHCP. Familiarity with network security best practices and firewall configurations. Experience working with routers, switches. and other network hardware from leading manufacturers. Experience generating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configurations. Desired Skills: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internet work Expert (CCIE) certification or equivalent. Knowledge and experience working with Calix network access and customer premise devices. Experience with scripting and automation tools including Python and Ansible. Familiarity with Linux server administration and configuration. Salary range: $70,000 to $114,000 per year. Excellent Benefits. Drug test post job offer.
